Alice dos Reis



Alice dos Reis (Lisbon, Portugal) is a visual artist and filmmaker. Her films have been presented at numerous international film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Melbourne International Film Festival, IndieLisboa, Curtas Vila do Conde and DocLisboa, among others. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art (Porto), Centro Botín (Santander), Canal Projects (New York), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), EYE Filmmuseum (Amsterdam) and Kunsthalle Lissabon (Lisbon), among others.

She was recently awarded a Visual Arts Grant from Fundación Botín, and has previously received the Mondriaan Fonds Stipendium for Young Artists. In 2025, she received the EDP New Artists Award, the most important prize for contemporary art in Portugal. In 2020, together with Isadora Neves Marques, she founded the poetry publishing house Livros do Pântano. She holds a Master’s degree from the Sandberg Institute and is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong.
